A visit to Rodborough in Stroud last week to investigate how rats have been entering this property for over 11 years!

After years living in the property and several visits from other contractors the homeowner contacted us to resolve the on-going rat infestation in her extension.

A look in the loft confirmed the presence of rats, with droppings throughout the area. However, the absence of any entry points on the outside of the property led us to one conclusion, something was going on below ground.

A return visit this week to conduct a drain survey identified a redundant line (a section of sewer pipe which had not been capped off) below the extension. As a result rats had been able to exit the sewer, tunnelling through to the cavity walls and into the loft.

A return visit is now booked to install a twin rat flap (a one way valve) in the sewer system, to allow waste out whilst preventing rats being able to access the redundant line.

If you are looking to resolve a rat infestation once and for all contact us today to arrange a visit.
